I have been a rails developer for many years now but I had never really deployed an app myself. Usually I choose Heroku or something like that. One time I tried Docker and felt it is just too complicated. I just did not feel confident to use it to deploy. Maybe I was wrong and should have tried.

It is interesting that Rails 7 that touts as a one person framework does not address anything about deployment. In recent times, I am thinking of moving to a different stack because what’s the point of developing an app only to realize that deploying it to the world is a pain.
